About this floor
Caress Plank LVT flooring in Iced Grey
Caress is our entry to rigid SPC click flooring: a 5mm board with an acoustic underlay already attached, a Unilin click joint, and a deep embossed surface that gives four oak decors a natural, grained feel underfoot. Its boards are a deliberately narrower 152mm, closer to the proportion of a real timber plank, which lengthens the look of a room. Fully waterproof and suited to underfloor heating, Caress floats over an existing floor without adhesive and is covered by a twenty-year residential warranty.
Caress Plank lays 1220mm x 152mm boards — narrower than the usual 180mm, so a room reads longer and the floor more like real planks. With the underlay attached and the Unilin joint, the floor goes down in a single layer over an existing surface and sits quietly from the first step.
Iced Grey is a very pale, near-white oak laid in herringbone, with the faintest cool cast. It brings a bright, Scandinavian lightness to a hallway or living room.
With its simple click-lock system this floor installs as a floating floor straight over most existing subfloors — no adhesive, no specialist tools, and no waiting for glue to cure. Planks lock together in minutes, making it a favourite with confident DIYers, and the rigid SPC core keeps every joint tight and stable in rooms that see big temperature swings, including conservatories and kitchens.

1 April 2022Experience mainly positive.
Web site is easy to use. Samples arrived in a few days and supported selection of preferred tile. Order then placed simply. Tiles arrived quickly and appear excellent quality and value for price paid. Concerns related to shipping info. Text received from a shipping company that was unfamiliar to me (XPD Express) and advised item from 'Carpet & Cushion' collected. Since I had not ordered anything from such a company, I assumed the text was scam and avoided clicking on the embedded link. When I later saw the same info in an e-mail, I reconsidered and did click the link. However, this brought up an 'Untrusted Link' message in my Bitdefender software, so I aborted. However, the tiles did arrive the next day and were left by my front door since I was away and had no idea of delivery date or time. This part of the process needs an overhaul but otherwise great.
