Caress Plus Plank LVT flooring in Washed Grey Oak
Caress Plus is the most substantial board in the Caress family: a 7.5mm rigid SPC plank with a 1.5mm acoustic underlay attached and a 0.5mm commercial-grade wear layer, on the same Unilin click joint and the same narrower 152mm board that gives the collection its natural proportion. It shares its colours with Caress, so the two can be used together through a home where different rooms ask for different weights of floor. Fully waterproof, suited to underfloor heating, and covered by a twenty-year residential warranty.
Caress Plus Plank lays 1220mm x 152mm boards with a reassuring 7.5mm thickness and the underlay already attached, so the floor feels solid and quiet underfoot and goes down over an existing surface in a single layer. The narrower board lengthens the look of a room and reads as individual timber planks.
Washed Grey Oak is a pale, washed grey oak with a soft, lightly textured grain. Light without being cold, it brightens a room and suits both contemporary and relaxed schemes.
With its simple click-lock system this floor installs as a floating floor straight over most existing subfloors — no adhesive, no specialist tools, and no waiting for glue to cure. Planks lock together in minutes, making it a favourite with confident DIYers, and the rigid SPC core keeps every joint tight and stable in rooms that see big temperature swings, including conservatories and kitchens.

Web site is easy to use. Samples arrived in a few days and supported selection of preferred tile. Order then placed simply. Tiles arrived quickly and appear excellent quality and value for price paid. Concerns related to shipping info. Text received from a shipping company that was unfamiliar to me (XPD Express) and advised item from 'Carpet & Cushion' collected. Since I had not ordered anything from such a company, I assumed the text was scam and avoided clicking on the embedded link. When I later saw the same info in an e-mail, I reconsidered and did click the link. However, this brought up an 'Untrusted Link' message in my Bitdefender software, so I aborted. However, the tiles did arrive the next day and were left by my front door since I was away and had no idea of delivery date or time. This part of the process needs an overhaul but otherwise great.
